A lot of little things have been happening lately, so here’s a quick rundown of what’s new:

A New Gun Case for Kristin

Kristin got a new gun case this week. It’s a bright pink Condition 1 hard case, and it fits her pistols perfectly. The foam inserts keep everything snug, and the zippered mesh pouches on the lid are great for organizing extras. Not only is it functional, but it stands out compared to the usual black or gray cases.

We've already got a great Condition 1 storage case, now that I know the range case is amazing, I'm going to have to get another one for myself.

Ghost’s Health Update

Ghost has been doing much better on his new meds. Things seem stable right now, which is a relief. We also know that his time is limited, so we’re making sure to enjoy every moment with him. Every good day feels like a gift.

A New LEGO Build

I finished another LEGO set—this one is the Starry Night wall art. I really enjoyed building it, and now it’s hanging up as a unique piece of décor. I even ordered the new Milky Way set to go alongside it in my office. It’s fun adding art pieces like this that double as creative projects.

Progress on Griff

My book is continuing to move forward. As of Sunday night, I’m sitting at around 50,000 words. Hitting milestones like that keeps me motivated, and the story is finally starting to feel like it’s taking on a life of its own.

Kristin’s Half Marathon

Kristin ran another half marathon this past weekend out in California. I wasn’t able to be there in person, but I tracked her progress and she crushed it. She’s been so consistent with her training, and it’s awesome to see it pay off.

She has another half marathon scheduled for January down in Florida, and that time I won’t miss it—I can’t wait to cheer her on in person.

Rethinking How We Describe MS

I came across an interesting study that’s worth sharing. Researchers used artificial intelligence to analyze medical records from about 12,000 people with MS. Traditionally, MS has been broken into types—like relapsing-remitting, secondary progressive, and primary progressive—but this study suggests that may not be the full picture.

The AI looked at data from MRIs, relapse history, disability tests, and even “silent” activity where brain lesions form without symptoms. It found that MS might be better described as a single disease that changes in severity over time, moving along a spectrum rather than fitting into fixed subtypes.

Why does this matter? If MS is thought of as one disease that shifts over time, it could eventually lead to faster diagnoses, earlier treatments, and care that’s more personalized to each person’s unique biology. While official changes won’t happen overnight, this research is helping to reshape how doctors and researchers understand the disease.

It's Not Goodbye, It's See You Later

That’s the update for this week—some progress, some wins, and a little bit of fun along the way.
